TUTORIAL
There is a couple of key concepts worth understanding to get the most from S2P, here we will start with a basic setup to demonstrate.
- Could you please create two new folders on your desktop, call them “Test_1” and “Test_2” (or similar).
So after installation you are greeted with the;
Set up screen
Input Method; BARCODE SHORTCUT
Here we choose how we want to perform our action,
BARCODE; Use a barcode scanner to find your folder and perform the action.
SHORTCUT; Choose this option and you can define a shortcut key to perform the acton, simply click in the blank field then press a key, try it out, press spacebar and you will see Keycode=32, try some other keys…
- Lets choose “SHORTCUT” for now, I’m going to click spacebar but you can pick whatever you like.
Source Folder;
Click on the browse button to define the root folder, this is where the other folders you want to action are stored.
- Browse to your desktop and choose “Test_1”
Subfolders:
The folder you are actioning may contain sub-folders, do you want the action to work on these too?
- This can be confusing, for now we won’t choose this option we will test it later.
Destination Folder;
Click on the browse button to define the destination folder, this is only applicable to the COPY action, and its where your files will be after the copy action is completed.
- Browse to your desktop and choose “Test_2”
File Types:
Here you can add any file type to action, our dropdown menu contains a few common file types useful to us but you can easily add your own. just click in the blank field – type *. then the extension, e.g. *.txt, *.doc, *.xls then press enter.
* Lets try now, press *.txt then press enter, see it in the field? Great, now can you right click your desktop and create a new / text file, name it “1” and put it in the “Test_1” folder.
Let’s Get Started:
- Let’s do our first action, press Save, then click”Set up” and swap to the “Scan” screen. Notice the Text says “Please Press Shortcut”. Next click in the blank field, hold your breath and press the spacebar (Or whichever key you chose).
You should see the text in the log telling you that “1 File was copied”, Congrats, now have a look in “Test_2” and delete your file, - Now go back to “Test_1” and create a new folder inside “Test_1” let’s call the folder “1” as well.
Put “1.txt” into folder “1” then go back to “Scan” page and try pressing the spacebar again….
You should see the msg saying “0 Files Copied” - Go Back to “Set up” page and select the Subfolder option at Input Folder, click save, then try it again…
You should see the msg saying “1 Files Copied”… Awesome, so now you have some understanding of the subfolders option, have a look in the “Test_2” folder and delete the file again. - Now lets try it as “BARCODE” don’t worry if you don’t have a scanner, its easy to input text as well.
Go to “Set up” page and change the “Input Method” to “BARCODE“, and also turn the “Subfolders” option off, click “SAVE“. Now go back to “Scan” page. Notice that now the text says, “Please Scan Barcode“, in the blank field type “1” and press enter.
You should see the msg saying “1 Files Copied” . Yes? Ok, Awesome, so make another folder inside “1” and put the “1.txt” file in there… try the action again, on “Scan” page type 1 and press enter, No files copied? of course not, go and turn on the “Subfolders” option…. try again… ahh that’s more like it…
Printer;
Click browse and choose a printer. double click and it will be set. You may need to right click on the printer to setup print parameters.
Application:
Click to view applications relevant to the file extensions you have selected in “File Types”.
- If you have a barcode scanner, here’s a good chance to try the “Generate” function. go back to “Set up” page and click the action “Generate” Barcodes will be generated directly to the chosen local printer for all folders inside the chosen “Input Folder” in this case you should get one barcode printed which corresponds to folder “1” inside “Test_1”.Change action back to “Copy“, click save and go back to “Scan” page, scan the barcode and be amazed

- Nothing left to do now but try it on more file types, Copy, Open, Print and Delete to your hearts content..
